UK law firm Michelmores has appointed Raj Patel as a partner in its private wealth team.
Mr Patel, who was named an eprivateclient Top 35 Under 35 in 2010 and 2013, joins from Trident Trust where he was head of business development for South Asia. Prior to this he worked at Berkeley Law and was one of the original team that broke away from Lawrence Graham to establish the firm.
In his new role he advises ultra high net worth individuals and their families, trustees and advisers on international wealth and succession planning. He also advises these individuals and their families on personal UK tax matters; and offshore trustees on UK tax and regulatory matters.
Jonathan Riley, head of the private wealth team, said Mr Patel’s appointment added to the “depth of expertise to help support our high net worth clients."
Earlier this month, Michelmores was named as a 2018 eprivateclient Top Law Firm. It has offices in London, Bristol and Exeter.
