Pakistan’s top 50 taxpayers of 2018 are being invited to a dinner hosted by Prime Minister Imran Khan, according to the country’s daily English newspaper, The Express Tribune.
The list which is compiled by Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue includes large taxpaying companies including the OGDCL, PPL, PSO and large Pakistani banks such as HBL, MCB, UBL, National Bank, Silk Bank.
It will also consist of other companies, including cellular phone and telecom firms as well as individual taxpayers.
The summary for the dinner has been sent to the finance ministry who have said that the purpose of organising a dinner with the Prime Minister is to encourage taxpayers and seek their recommendations in policymaking for enhancing tax revenue, the newspaper reported.
The ministry has been requested to seek time from the Prime Minister for the event.
