Alice Bricogne

Senior Associate


Alice is a senior associate in Ogier Guernsey's private client & trusts team who advises trust companies and high net worth individuals on the creation and administration of all types of trusts and foundations, as well as on contentious and regulatory matters. Alice has worked at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg as a Pegasus Scholar, and as part of a team in Jersey conducting a highly sensitive financial regulatory investigation for the JFSC.

Amy joined Butterfield as part of the acquisition of the Deutsche Bank Global Trust Solutions Business in March 2018. She has over 13 years’ experience in the field, having worked in the finance industry in both banks and with smaller privately-owned trust companies. In her role Amy provides the management and administration for a number of complex trust structures and holds the Society of Trust and Estate Planning diploma.

Bethan studied law and economics at Cambridge University, and trained at a US firm in London, where she worked with a wide range of clients, including listed companies, tech start-ups and high net worth individuals. Her varied and rigorous training now supports her role in the litigation and international trust & private client teams. Bethan has experience in the areas of financial crime and reporting obligations, where clients can face significant personal and reputational risk. She navigates crisis situations well, and is sensitive to the client's needs under pressure.

Camilla Cook



Camilla joined Appleby in February 2017 as an associate in the dispute resolution department in Guernsey. She completed her training as a solicitor at an international law firm based in London and spent six months on secondment in Hong Kong as part of her training. Following her training contract, she was admitted to the roll of solicitors in England and Wales in 2016. Camilla has experience in advising clients in different aspects of litigation and dispute resolution. She has been involved in a range of work with a focus on trusts, insolvency, corporate litigation, employment and regulatory work. Camilla has worked with trustee and beneficiary clients to resolve a wide range of disputes including requests for trust information, applications for Hastings-Bass relief and applications for the termination of a trust.

Carla Plater



Carla is an associate in Walkers' trusts and trust disputes team, based in the Jersey office.  Her primary focus is providing advice and drafting on non-contentious trusts and foundations matters.  She also assists on more litigious matters.  For example, she is currently part of a team advising a Jersey trustee that has found itself embroiled in a UK divorce and ancillary relief matter involving questions of trustee disclosure and submission to the jurisdiction of a foreign court. Before joining Walkers, Carla trained and qualified as an English solicitor at Ogier in Jersey.  She has an LLB from the University of London and an MA in English Literature from Durham University.

Cecilia-Anne Scally



Cecilia qualified as an Advocate of the Royal Court in October 2015. She has significant experience dealing with a wide range of matrimonial and children law matters, including separation and settlement agreements, pre-nuptial agreements, financial provision for children, and contact arrangements. In addition to being a qualified Advocate, Cecilia also has a Masters in Philosophy and brings her lateral thinking and logical argument to all her cases.

Chandelle Newcombe

Chandelle joined the private client team at Estera in Jersey as assistant administrator in 2011. Her career development within Estera has seen her being promoted to administrator in 2013, completing her ICSA qualification and in the same year winning the “2015 ICSA Administrator of the Year Award”. Technical abilities aside, her emotional maturity allowed her to align her thinking to that of the client and with this ability saw her develop into a client manager. As part of her further development she has been appointed to head up the management of the newly established Estera Global Data Central centre, which runs multi jurisdictional projects for its global offices.  It is here Chandelle is able to lead around 50 team members by applying her technical knowledge across data management and all private client matters.

Charlotte Elliott

Charlotte is a qualified English solicitor with extensive experience in the legal and trust industry, specifically within wills, probate and estate administration in which she has worked for over 10 years.  Now the head of wills & probate at Hawksford, she is dedicated to guiding and assisting clients through every step of the wills & probate process. Charlotte’s own experience is extensive and has seen her working with clients in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and America, and across a number of different asset classes including, property, investments, cash, holding vehicles, classic car collections, yachts and music licensing.

Charlotte Sampson

As a senior associate in the Channel Islands, Charlotte has led multiple assurance engagements simultaneously with responsibility for day to day management of client relations, task allocation, client reporting, associate performance, substantive work review, detailed substantive analysis of high risk balances and team motivation. Her clients trusts as well as private equity and hedge funds. Charlotte’s role entailed a significant element of project, budget and client relationship management. She was also responsible for managing client expectations and acting as the first port of call for day-to-day communications, while holding responsibility for the management of various other stakeholders including component and group audit teams, administrators, third party experts, investment managers and the local audit team.

Danielle Cottignies



Danielle manages two large family office structures for Middle Eastern clients that involve multiple asset classes, sharia compliance and jurisdictional issues. These structures require a high level of adaptability and resilience because of short deadlines, multiple advisers and the number of transactions. One nominator said, “Danielle is an outstanding professional who provides her clients with exceptional service and works incredibly well with other advisers driving complex projects. She grasps complex issues, takes a commercial and pro-active approach and is an absolute pleasure to work with.”

Danielle began her career at Butterfield 10 years ago in the trust and fiduciary sector as a trainee trust administrator. She was then promoted to trust officer in 2015 and has responsibility for and provides support to trust administrators within her team to assist them in achieving their ongoing professional goals and support them day-to-day. Danielle looks after a portfolio of complex private clients, mostly ultra-high net worth, where she manages both trust and company structures. She also assists with the relationship of another large family office structure investing in private equity, hedge funds, shipping and real estate. Danielle gained the STEP Diploma with Distinction in 2012 and is currently working towards Level 5 International Finance and Administration.

Donna holds the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management and she’s also a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CM) having completed the Level 5 CMI certificate.

Ellen is an assistant trust manager with Highvern Trustees Limited’s Middle East and Central Europe team. She joined Highvern in September 2017 and during the last seven months, has taken on the responsibility for a diverse range of fiduciary structures for HNW and UHNW clients. Ellen joined Highvern from a small, family run private equity firm based in Jersey, where she undertook company secretarial and administrative duties for a portfolio of entities with a broad range of different asset classes including commercial real estate in central London. Prior to that, she work for a publicly listed provider of fund, corporate and private wealth services to institutional and private clients where she looked after a portfolio of companies and trusts which spanned jurisdictions such as Jersey, UK and East Africa.

During her time as manager she has been responsible for a team that manages a range of complex, individually-tailored fiduciary, corporate and institutional structures with a global reach. She has been involved on Butterfield’s Asia strategy, which entails assisting with the deployment the Group’s strategy, meeting with existing clients and engaging with intermediaries in the region.  Hannah is a member of STEP and holds a first class bachelor’s degree in Management with Trusts and Estates from The University of Manchester. Jasmin is a highly skilled and well regarded lawyer in Bedell Cristin's contentious and non-contentious trusts team in Guernsey. She is dual-qualified as a solicitor in Australia, England and Wales. She is also an associate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).  After joining Bedell Cristin in 2015 as an associate, Jasmin’s legal expertise, mature approach and excellent client service helped her to achieve promotion to senior associate level in September 2017.  She regularly assists with complex applications and proceedings before the Courts in Guernsey and has also been involved in a number of confidential, high value mediations. In 2012, Jasmin obtained an LLB with First Class Honours and received the university medal for her academic achievement.

Jennie Henderson-Bell

Jennie is an experienced trust professional with over 12 years of experience in the private client trust industry. A full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) having gained her STEP Diploma in 2016, Jennie delivers expert private client services to a wide array of clients and complex structures that include private trust companies, discretionary and life interest trusts, charity will trusts and partnerships. She has built vast experience in the UK res non-dom market, keeping up to date with the constantly developing landscape of the regulatory environment to ensure a highly efficient running of her structures in line with the latest legislation. In her role as assistant manager Jennie assists with the management of a team of seven, often lending her expertise to the training of trainee and junior administrators.

Jodi Langlois

Born and educated in Guernsey, has worked in the trust sector for 15 years and moved to Imperium in August 2017. She has worked for several other fiduciary companies in Guernsey such as Close Brothers and Nerine Fiduciaries, and has managed teams of trust administrators as well as having responsibility for UK client portfolios, managing a range of asset holding structures. More recently Jodi has also developed knowledge of and experience in Middle Eastern and South African structuring. She is a STEP Qualified Practitioner and holds the ICSA Diploma.

Katie Douglas

Katie is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has worked in the offshore trust industry in client facing roles since 2004 when she joined Rawlinson & Hunter. Thereafter she joined the Jersey office of Barclays offshore trust business in 2013 (now known as Zedra) undertaking the role of assistant manager of the UK res non-domiciled team, dealing with ultra-high net worth families.  Whilst there, Katie assumed the lead responsibility for a private trust company structure for a high profile family with wealth spanned across successive generations and jurisdictions. The asset classes included an FCA regulated business, operating companies, large agricultural estates, farming businesses and international residential and commercial real estate. 

Laura Kyle

A trust manager in First Names Group’s Jersey office, Laura is part of six-person team. With more than a decade of experience in the offshore fiduciary industry, she has managed family trusts, complex holding structures, private and charitable foundations, fulfilment business and yacht owning and private art owning entities. As a new business co-ordinator in a previous role she experienced the industry at a broad level, dealing with marketing and compliance, as well as setting up new structures, assisting with drafting of trust deeds and incorporating companies. Laura is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has a number of STEP qualifications to her name, including an Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes (Distinction) and a STEP Diploma (Distinction) in International Trust Management.

She qualified as a chartered certified accountant (ACCA) in 2007 and joined Elian Private Wealth (EPW) in 2008 (formerly Ogier). At Hawksford, Laura is now responsible for a team of nine people providing bespoke administration and company secretarial services to ultra high net worth families with a main priority of providing excellent client service by building close and long standing relationships with clients and being adaptable to their changing needs.

Marina Mauger

Marina holds a pivotal role in Nerine’s highest fee earning relationship in administering a Managed Trust Company structure with 30+ entities. She has worked on systems analysis, examining the processes across a highly complicated structure; coordinating with a forensic accounting team. Marina also manages complex structures for other HNWs and has strong technical UK tax knowledge. She gained a distinction in the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management at 23 and is currently studying for her STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for international clients. She is also an active member of the Guernsey Young Business Group.

She is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of an extremely varied client books. Sarah is a senior associate at Carey Olsen in the Trusts & Private Wealth Group in Jersey.  She acts for professional trustees, private trust companies, family offices, settlors and beneficiaries and regularly advises on the establishment and ongoing administration of private trust structures, employee benefit trusts, pension trusts, charitable structures and foundations. Sarah has particular experience in advising on the restructuring of complex trust structures, significant transactions undertaken by trustees and the termination of trust structures. Prior to joining Carey Olsen Sarah worked for a prominent city law firm for four years. She qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales in 2010 and was sworn in as an advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey in 2015.

During her 15 years in the sector, Samantha has continually invested in her professional development.  She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and of the Association of Accounting Technicians, and is STEP qualified.  Samantha’s STEP qualifications include Diplomas one to four and a Certificate in International Trust Management.

Shardé joined Moore Stephens in 2014 as in-house legal counsel and most recently has taken the lead in assisting the business with its General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) obligations. She advises the leadership team of the business’ legal requirements and is guiding them through any necessary changes to be made, liaising with external consultants and internal stakeholders. Shardé has successfully completed her certified GPDR Practitioner course; and is a member of the Jersey Data Protection Association. In her day-to-day role she advises directors on complex trust matters and legal and regulatory issues.  She also identifies, manage and reports on key legal risks to the business and provides assistance to other offices in the Moore Stephens International network.

Victoria Hammond

Victoria is one of the longest-serving team members in JTC’s Guernsey office, having joined the firm in 2013. She has in-depth experience and knowledge of the private wealth services industry, and is regarded by both clients and colleagues as a trusted and well-respected adviser. She constantly strives to increase her industry knowledge and manages to balance a successful career and her family life with ease. Before having a family, she played basketball for Guernsey. “She is an integral team member and a great role model to her colleagues within JTC,” her nominator said.

Zara Campbell

Zara is an experienced private client trust manager with expertise in family office services, having previously been instrumental in the development of the family office team at Intertrust (formerly Elian and Ogier).  She began her career in 2007 having qualified from University of Liverpool in International Business and Spanish. She then took a position as a trainee at Ogier where her dedication to education continued, and she began studying towards her Chartered Secretary qualification, successfully gaining full membership in 2013. Zara is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of a team of administrators that looks after a wide array of private clients globally. She has also provided services for clients from the MENA region, which has seen her gain experience in the running of Sukuks, Murabahas and other forms of Sharia compliant investing.
