Law firm Mishcon de Reya has, through its thought leadership platform - The Mishcon Academy - launched a new project looking at the implications of the OECD's Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
Led by partner Filippo Noseda the project has now published 'The Big Debate: Transparency Versus Privacy', an in depth examination of the far reaching privacy and data protection implications of CRS and the Beneficial Ownership Registers (BOR).
The report builds on more than two years of research and campaigning which amplifies growing concerns raised by a number of European data protection authorities and EU Commission experts appointed to advise on the implementation of the CRS.
As part of the project Mishcon is aiming to build support for legal proceedings through crowd funding. The report can be downloaded by applying here.
