Manchester United's new superstar signing - Alexis Sanchez - has been sentenced to a 16 months suspended jail term after admitting to avoiding tax whilst playing at Spanish giants Barcelona earlier this decade.
Mr Sanchez, who signed for the Manchester club from Arsenal during a record breaking Premier League January transfer window and is believed to be the league's highest paid player, accepted the sentence for tax fraud in order to avoid having to return to Spain and face trial.
The fraud related to unpaid tax from the Chilean forward's image rights between 2012 and 2013.
